Privacy
Our privacy promise
Last updated: 25 September 2026
Money data is personal. This page says, in plain words, how inWst treats it. The legal details are in our privacy policy.
These are commitments for everyone who uses inWst: the website, the free tools and the app.
Upload-only
You choose what to share by uploading statements and exports you download yourself. We never ask for your bank password, online-banking login or broker login, and we never connect to your bank.
Files deleted after reading
Uploading is optional. Files you upload are deleted as soon as they are read; only the transactions or trades in them are kept. The lessons, the free tools and the Money Health Check need no file and no account.
Before 25 September 2026 the original file was kept as well. Those earlier files are still stored on our servers in Germany and in our backups until we delete them; you can ask us to delete yours at any time.
Stored and processed in the EU
The data you upload to inWst is stored and processed in the EU.
Encrypted in transit
Every connection to inWst uses HTTPS, so your files and data are encrypted on the way to us.
Passwords for PDF statements
Some statements are password-protected. If you type the password, we use it once, in memory, to open the file. We never store or log it.
A copy or deletion, whenever you ask
Ask us at any time for a copy of everything we hold about you, or to delete your account and everything in it, and we will do it. Doing both yourself in the app is on the way.
Never sold, no ads
No ads, no data brokers, no ad trackers. We don't sell or rent your data. You pay with a subscription, not with your data.
No cookies on this website
inwst.com sets no cookies and loads nothing from other companies, unless you press play on a lesson video (it then plays from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode). Fonts are served from our own domain. To see which pages and tools help, the site counts anonymous usage on our own server, never an amount you type.
Your numbers, not advice
inWst shows and explains your own numbers. It doesn't recommend investments or products and doesn't give tax advice.
