Steuer-Paket Indien
Your Indian income, ready for the German tax return.
A one-time pack for people who live in Germany and have income in India: NRO, NRE and FCNR interest, Indian dividends and Indian mutual funds. It shows which form and section each item generally goes into, with the amount in euros, the rule behind it and the document it came from. You file, or your Steuerberater does.
Pre-orders in January, €29 early-bird
Planned for March 2027 (pre-order buyers first, from mid-February). Dates can move; people on the list hear first. Nothing to pay on this page. Leave your email and we'll write when pre-orders open.
What's in the pack
A summary of your Indian income
Every Indian income for the year by type, in euros and rupees, with the ECB reference rate and its date for each conversion.
A worksheet per form
Anlage KAP, Anlage KAP-INV and the foreign-tax sections: the section, the German field label, the amount in euros, a plain-English explanation and the source document for each value.
The rule behind every value
Each figure links to the rule it comes from and that rule's source. Figures appear only from rules a Steuerberater has reviewed.
Your Indian funds, worked out
Payouts (IDCW), the Vorabpauschale of growth-option funds and fund sales, each by fund type.
A checklist for the return
The documents to keep, where the values are typed into ELSTER or your tax software, and the deadlines.
Flags for the Indian side
Indian TDS above what Germany credits, and a missing tax residency certificate or Form 41 (formerly Form 10F), so next year's deductions can be lower.
Exports and next year
A PDF for your records or your Steuerberater, a CSV for your own spreadsheets, and a profile that pre-fills next year's pack.

Read the sample chapterWho it's for
- You live in Germany and file, or will file, a German income tax return.
- You have interest from NRO, NRE or FCNR accounts or deposits in India, Indian dividends, or Indian mutual funds.
- You want to see where each Indian income generally goes, with the rules and sources, before you or your Steuerberater file.
Not in the first version
Rent from property in India, PPF and EPF, Indian salary, ESOPs and RSUs, crypto and business income. If the pack finds one, it lists it as not covered.
What it is not
Not a Steuerberater
inWst doesn't give tax advice. The pack is information prepared from your documents under published rules.
No filing on your behalf
You type the values into ELSTER or your tax software, or hand the pack to your Steuerberater. inWst doesn't file.
No choices made for you
Where the law gives you an option, the pack shows what the rules say and leaves the choice to you.
No figure without a reviewed rule
Tax figures come only from rules a Steuerberater has reviewed. Until then the pack shows the rule and its source, not a number.

Questions about the Steuer-Paket
Can I pay for it yet?
No. There is no payment on this site yet. Pre-orders open in January 2027 at the early-bird price of €29; leave your email above and we'll write when they open.
Does inWst file my German tax return?
No. The pack prepares the Indian income for your return: which form and section each item generally goes into, with the amounts, rules and sources. You or your Steuerberater file.
Do I still need a Steuerberater?
Many people type the values into ELSTER or their tax software themselves. If your situation is unusual, or you prefer, hand the pack to a Steuerberater: every value shows its rule and document, which makes the review easier.
Which documents does it use?
The ones you already get from India: interest certificates, the TDS certificates (Form 16A for tax deducted up to March 2026; Form 131 from April 2026), Form 26AS or the AIS, and your funds' account statements.
Why are there no tax figures on the sample?
Tax figures come only from rules a Steuerberater has reviewed. The review is under way, so the sample shows every mechanical step (documents, forms, sections, currency conversion) and stops before the tax figures.
Where is my data kept?
The pack runs in the inWst app, on servers in Germany. Files you upload are deleted as soon as they are read; only the transactions or trades in them are kept.
