F&O turnover calculator

F&O turnover is not the value of the contracts you traded. For tax purposes it is the sum of the profit or loss of every trade, with losses counted as positive numbers. Paste the P&L column from your broker's report to see yours.

Your numbers stay in your browser. We count anonymous usage, never amounts. What you enter stays in this browser tab and is not added to the page link. How we handle data

Copy the realised P&L column from your broker's F&O P&L report. Losses as −, brackets or "Dr".

How this works

Turnover = the sum of the absolute profit or loss of each F&O trade. A profit of ₹12,000 and a loss of ₹8,000 add up to a turnover of ₹20,000. Option premium is not added separately.

A trade here is each position you closed (or that expired), as listed line by line in your broker's realised P&L report. Using monthly or per-symbol totals instead gives a lower number.

Turnover above ₹10 crore requires a tax audit for F&O trading. Below that, other conditions (for example how you report your income) can still require one; this calculator does not check them.
